BBQ fundraiser for EGG

In mid-July, EGG's Auckland committee teamed together to put on a BBQ fundraiser with all proceeds going towards EGG's cause. With the help of Bunnings Warehouse Grey Lynn, who lent us the BBQ area for the day, we were able to run this community event. 

On Saturday the 15th we woke to clear blue skies and got down to Bunnings early to set up. We started sizzling the sausages and were soon serving them steadily. We were grateful of friends and flatmates who came by for a sausage or to help cut onions and serve food. Our stocks began to empty out, as we counted 200 sausages sold, 300 sausages, 400. We kept selling them until about 5pm, then called it a day and donated the leftovers to the Auckland City Mission. By the end of the day, we had made about $450 - a good innings! We enjoyed being in the sunshine and telling customers about EGG, and where their money was going.
